The Workshop costs are $50 for members or $60 for non-members for each workshop. Each workshop has its own kits fee. You’ll need to add both items to your cart to proceed to payment.

Workshop Description:

In this class, newbie beadmakers will learn the basic techniques to create their own glass beads using glass rods and glass accessories.

Class content will include the design and construction of glass beads, annealing and cleaning beads, learning to use tools and equipment and Occupational Health & Safety procedures.

Level of Difficulty:

Easy to Moderate.

$30 - includes kit, glass rods, frit and decorative accessories and use of tools and equipment.

Workshop includes:
• Learning foundation techniques for winding glass
• Application of dots and stripes
• Shaping glass beads
• Making and applying frit, murrini and twisties

Learning about and using resources related to glass beadmaking such as: digital media, learning platforms, classes, Facebook groups and community workshops

Time allocation:

3.5 hours

Pre-requisite Skills:

None

Special Workshop Conditions:

Use of safety lenses, exposure to flame.

Students to Bring:

A notebook, water bottle and apron. You will need to wear closed in shoes and have your hair tied back.
