Coloured Spears Bracelet with Elissa Miller
Coloured Spears is a really enjoyable project with many different applications. I saw a similar design, tried to copy it, failed, and what I ended up with was Coloured Spears! As you do!!!
The starting point is a simple triangle, and by adding two arms on either side of the triangle, you begin to “grow” the spears. By using multiple colours, the overall effect is very eye catching.
The best thing about the bracelet is that it is so suitable for a workshop, because you get the gist of it very early on, and if needs be, you can complete it at home.
For this workshop, you will need a basic understanding of peyote stitch – never fear, no tricky increases and decreases – and a fun sense of colour.
Did I mention that the design lends itself to earrings? And a necklace! A matching set would be great!
In the workshop, you will also create a one off clasp, but later, if you want to use a different clasp, you can.
As usual, I supply all materials, and a guided pattern.
