Hooked on Petals - Pauline Stevens
Hooked on Petals
This class starts with the same techniques used in ‘Roaring 20s in the 20s’ necklace. You will use the basic stitches of crochet (chain, double, treble and slip) and a Japanese metallic lurex thread to form a netting base on 2 different sized rings. The rings are embellished using Japanese seed beads, pearls and various shaped Czech beads. The smaller ring is stitched on top of the large ring using running stitch and a fringe is added to the completed pendant. A necklace is made using a combination of complementary beads. Students will learn all the techniques needed to make this statement necklace, but it will be finished at home. It is available in capri blue and copper/rose gold. A custom colour option may be offered, depending on availability. Please don't hesitate to contact Pauline regarding this service.
